Extra About Space Presidencies
There are 24 areas within the Church of Jesus Christ — six that span the US and 18 that span areas exterior of the US.
Starting in 1984, areas had been established to direct the work in geographic places of the worldwide Church. The Space Presidencies for the US and the Center East/Africa North Space work from Church headquarters in Salt Lake Metropolis, Utah.
“The Seventy are to behave within the title of the Lord, below the route of the Twelve … in build up the Church and regulating all of the affairs of the identical in all nations” (see Doctrine and Covenants 107:34).
